Home Again!

Okay, despite the fact I didn't blog to let everyone know I got home safely, I'm home. While jetlag wasn't much of a factor on the way over, after sleeping REALLY well the first night I was there, on the way back, it kicked my butt. Part of it, I was at the end of a week+ vacation, with lots of walking, and not as much sleep as I'm used to. Then there's the 9 hour plane ride, in a middle seat. The plane trip was entirely during the day; no darkness outside, when I might have been able to convince myself to sleep, resulting in a 16 1/2 hour day. Whatever it was, jetlag resulted in my doing nothing for Tuesday and Wednesday, except sleeping, and one load of laundry.

I am in the process of attempting to upload pictures to Flickr. However, it's taking for-freakin'-ever. I believe it's been trying to upload for 1/2 hour. So, here's some photos to tide you over. And it being my post, the pictures won't end up where I want them; they never do. So, the pictures are: Preacher's, a pub we saw in Cork. Took the picture for my Da. Second picture is the waterfall that was in the courtyard at the hotel we stayed at, Hotel Isaacs. At night, they light the waterfall up with blue lights. I have a picture of it on my phone. Third is a shot of Blarney Castle, and one of its associated watch towers, with a lovely bed of heather in the foreground. Fourth, a beautiful, green vertical slope we found wandering around Cork the first full day we were there; it was on the way down from a bloody awful hill. Last, a perfectly fabulous yarn, entirely populated by flowers. I'm not sure it was supposed to be that way, but it was pretty.

Pictures are finally uploading on Flickr, so I'll get those up as fast as I can, with descriptions, so you'll know what you're looking at.
